Garaguso Karate was opened in January 1984 by 7th Degree Master Michael Garaguso and has been servicing Williamstown ever since. We are known as being one of the Premier Martial Arts Academies in South Jersey and the first to offer classes for 3 year olds! There are classes for all skill and fitness levels ages 3 and up.
Our main goal is to help students organize and focus their thoughts; set clear and obtainable goals; face challenges and overcome obstacles using a traditional Korean Martial Art, known as Tang Soo Do, as the primary vehicle.
Head Instructor, (4th Degree Master) Steve Carr, who is Master Garaguso’s son in law, runs every class with the assistance of his wife, (4th Degree Master) Lar-el Carr, who is Master Garaguso’s daughter, as they continue to bring self defense, discipline, fitness, character education and of course fun in each and every class. With Master Michael Garaguso still overseeing all curriculum and testing, we continue to produce the most well rounded Martial Artists in the area.
